Winter Wonderland ‘09

Today we got a bit of snow. I took the opportunity to talk a short walk and shoot some of the local wildlife and of course, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to shoot Zane and Besa playing the snow.

  1. Hi Andy! John Nelson here in Flag. Hope you’re well, Katherine, too. Great pictures, Andy, and I like your site, too. I hope to read more of it, catch up with you. We’re fine, herding horses, considering a move to Pagosa Springs, ate too much Thanksgiving dinner, would enjoy another Thanksgiving dinner (lol), looking forward to Christmas, hoping for a big snow winter! Cheers!

  2. John! I’m glad you enjoyed the pictures. We’re supposed to get more snow tonight, but we’ll have to wait that one out and see. Most of what this storm dropped is still on the ground, and of course the dogs have trampled it severely.
It’s good to here you’re doing well, and I’m sure you’re still involved with the Calvary Horse endeavor. How is that going by the way?

  3. Besa in the snow is too cute!

  4. Andy, since we spoke we’ve gone from dry Fall to wet Winter here, we got over two feet of snow in an actual blizzard early this week. Sheesh, not sure I was ready for that, although we sure need the moisture. And it’s snowing again now, so we’ll see.
Re the cavalry stuff, yes, I’m still doing a fair amount of that through the Society of the Military Horse, including getting Lynda’s great info from Fort Stanton to the SMH; her work there has been great! Anyway, enjoying life … :) By the way, I dropped your name to Mike Chaevas here on the Coconino, who’s in charge of the four-forest eco restoration planning, gave him your website address, etc., so he may be contacting you. Hope you all are well, hello to Katherine, you folks have a Merry Christmas!
